![]() ![]() ![]() I agree that installing the rockers now isn't the best time. You don't want to deal with catastrophic failure. I've picked up in your posts that there is no room for the budget to break. If debris doesn't show up again I'll figure I only lost a couple thousand miles of life in my T. I think some edges I put on the 3rd clutch housing made it slip and wear the frictions. I knew my limit there and this trans has over 8Kmi on it and there is 1 problem and so far after 200mi from a ATF change the fluid doesn't show signs of debris. The parts I didn't replace due to overcomplexity are more likely to be the problem. I put that transmission together right, in the end. On the other hand the very frequent criticism. I began to seriously approach car repair since I got this Bonneville. It's just I have had so many successes with working on my car. So what would the point of installing 1.8's be if you're not going to ever go WOT? Put the rockers on a shelf and get your other issues resolved, and once the trans is in good condition put them on. ![]()
